On the morning of January 14, 2022, CEP Microfinance Organization opened a branch in Long Xuyen, An Giang province. This is the 36th branch and the 19th branch in the plan to establish CEP branches in provinces outside HCMC.
CEP Long Xuyen branch will operate in Long Xuyen city and neighboring districts of An Giang province such as Chau Thanh district, Thoai Son district, and Cho Moi district; provide diversified credit and savings products, suitable to the needs of each group of poor workers and low-income people. At the same time, the CEP Long Xuyen branch will support customers with extremely difficult circumstances through community development programs such as granting scholarships, giving and renovating houses, giving away health insurance cards, providing training courses, etc. job creation, and emergency financial support.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat – Deputy General Director of CEP said: “The opening of a new branch in An Giang province is necessary for CEP to expand its scope of operations and enhance its ability to serve Workers – Labors is facing difficult problems in life, as well as contributing to repel black credit among workers”.
The operation of the CEP Long Xuyen branch will contribute to the creation of close relationships with the local authorities in the residential communities, and the gathering of workers into trade unions. Through the CEP care and timely support for customers, An Giang Trade Union will have more conditions to participate well in social activities and improve the quality of life for laborers, contributing to ensuring social security and stabilizing the labor force at enterprises.
On this occasion, CEP Long Xuyen Branch granted capital to 13 workers and poor laborers. In addition, leaders of An Giang Labor Confederation and CEP visited and gave gifts and necessities to Ms. Le Thi Ut Nho, a CEP customer with difficult circumstances in My Quy ward.
